Whats in my beach bag

  I wanted to share with you guys my beach bag essentials. These are things I have to have no matter if I am at the pool or the beach. 

 Okay first off always but esp. now since I am prego I need a huge amount of hydration .  Being dehydrated is very bad for you when you are pregnant.  So a huge bottle of water.  Some magazines to catch up on,  a hat to keep the sun off your face and out of your eyes and a good pair of sunnies.  Since I have blue eyes they are esp. sensitive and I will totally get a headache if I don't have a good pair of sunnies to protect them.

 I always keep lots of sunblock in the bag for me and my babes.  I know kids look cute tan but a sunburn when you are young ups their chances of skin cancer when older.  So I take special care of their skin for them now because they don't know but it will pay off when they are older and have nice skin.  So I have 3 sun screens in the bag.  A stick for their faces and touch ups, and a good water/sweat proof spf for their bodies, The spray we are using up. I don't prefer it because I find the wind catches it and you tend to miss spots and get burned spots.  I have gone back to old school lotion might be more of a pain in the butt but I know I got everywhere. Don't forget your lips keep a good spf lippie in your bag.   I also have some yummy body wash and shampoo to shower off after swimming laps and what not. 

 Now some more after water musts to keep are the equate after sun cool lime lotion.  I love love love it! It smells great and feels great after being in the sun.  (keep it in your fridge) I always keep Organix coconut milk (I had to change out the bottle because my pump broke.) and tangle spray.  These too smell great and will leave your hair shinny and smooth after beach or pool.  I have a tangle teazer too this is the best thing EVER.  It is a must for tangly hair.

So those are my beach bag must haves no matter if you are going to pool or beach these are essentials.

new haircut/maternity ootd

Okay So I got my haircut a few days ago and I didn't post until today because I didn't style it at all until today.  I went with TONS of thinning, and layers and trimming it.  I feel much better. 

 I went with a swoop bang (I always redo my front angle and bang myself when I get home because no one quiet gets it how I want ) I am a pro don't cut your own hair people.

 It looks a bit shorter then it really is since it is curled.

For make up I used Eyes: w&w limited edition nude awakenings palette, milani waterproof liquid eye pen, almay get up and grow waterproof mascara, maybelline 24 hour foundation, nyc sunny bronzer, nyx Bourgeois pig blush, and remmil airy fairy lipstick.

As for maternity outfit of the day I am wearing a maxi dress from walmart, and a bubble necklace from shop lately (I have two more coming and would have liked to wear one of them but they don't come until tomorrow)

 Well Monkey butt has her opening day of disneys beauty and the beast today so she wanted her hair and most of her makeup done early so that it wasn't such a rush today.  She looks super cute today in her cute summer outfit.  Those shorts I did with the eyelet lace trim last year are still a huge fav. around this house. :) Here is the tutorial on how to make them :)

29 week update

This week has been a whirl wind!  I took the 3 hour glucose test and even though it was a nightmare I passed.  Our weekend went well.  We stopped on the way back from meeting monkey butts dad and watched a parade.  It was a good time and saturday we got to have a date just me and the hubby for dinner and a movie. That was a nice rare treat.

I also gave in and got a pedicure since it is just getting too hard to do for myself.  I had a hair cut today which was good.  Other then that it has been a struggle with the kiddos my Fire monster has been a nightmare today she might as well not have ears  because she doesn't use them to listen to a word I say lol.  And my hubby dropped his phone in a bucket of oil at work!!!  So he has one coming in the mail but all week he has had to time share with monkey butts during the day.  So if you can picture my hubby at work with a rainbow leapord print phone that has Taylor swift for the ringtone...lol.  At least that is a bit of consolation lol.

I did take a video today of little Max going crazy in my belly.  I was watching Melmphs vidoe on drugstore bronzers and he was going nuts.  He has been a wild man all day. 


Well I am going to enjoy a ice cream with the hubby and relax Have a good night guys :)

waterproof full face drug store makeup step by step tutorial

 Okay so today I was headed to the pool with a gf and our kids and I decided it would be a great time to take pics and do a step by step tutorial on how I do my make up so it is waterproof and weather proof.  I even braved starting off with a completely bare face!. Now I did myself up more then I usually would because I had other things and places to be before and after pool time so I did a bit more then average pool day.

So step one for me is always sunscreen.  I am vampire pale and freckle like no ones business and I am trying to avoid te dreaded malasma this pregnancy so sunscreen sunscreen sunscreen.  I used this marykay time wise day because it is what I had lol.

Here is sunscreen only shots.

 Next I used a bb cream.  Now depending on the coverage you want you could stop with this and I often do but I did more today.  I used this one instead of my garnier because I am testing it out and it has a higher spf then the garnier too.

 Here is lotion and bb cream.

 Next I did eyes.  I used a maybelline color tattoo in inked pink and over that I put a L'Oreal infallible shadow in iced latte.  (you can use a color tattoo only for a low key day)

I used a bit of my wet and wild nude attraction palette In the crease I used the left side crease color and the outer v I used the right side lid shade. 

 Then I had to fill in my brows because mine are light and very sparse.  I used the flower line pencil in brown (the staying power of this is pretty awesome)

 Then because it looks more natural with some powder and pencil I went over then with some elf brow powder.

Here is just eye make and brows.

 Now for eye liner.  I used the remmil scandal eyes in brown on lower lash line and the nude in waterline and the milani eyeliner pen in black for my top winged liner.

 Some how went I went back I didn't take pics for my mascaras???  Well I put a coat of maybelline the rocket and then over that a coat of almay get up and grow (both in waterproof formula)  the rocket helps hold curl better then the almay makes then thicker and longer.

 Here are the finished eyes.

 Then I wanted a bit more coverage so I mixed one pump of covergirl 3 in 1 with a dot of magic lumi primer.  and dabbed it on my tzone with my soho makeup sponge (just like the beauty blender only 5$-7$ at walgreens) for a bit more coverage. 

Then I added under eye concealer.  I used my covergirl and then a bit of remmil wake me up concealer. 

 You want to put your under eye concealer in a upside down triangle like in this picture.  Then blend it out.  It is more flattering, brightening, and makes under eye circles and bags less apparent then when you just do the purple area.

 Then I contour.  I like nyc sunny it isn't water proof but I haven't found a great waterproof bronzer.

 When I contour I do the hollows of my cheeks from ear to edge of eye then stop and I do my temples and under my chin.  I took a pic so you can see.

 For blush and highlight I used milani luminoso. (a great dupe for nars orgasm) on my cheek bones and wet and wild reserve your cabana on top of your cheek bones.

 Then I set it with some powder (mostly my under eye concealer and t zone)  The nearly naked revlon is my holy grail it is so finely milled it is great stuff.

 Now I took some pics after I got home from errands and being at the pool for hours in 80 some degree heat on a high pollen day with watery allergy eyes!  This is a full 8 hours later after all of that.

 Not too bad I am more freckly but when you are as pale as me that is to be expected.

It is all still there and my wings on my liner are even still intackt.  

Now we all had to do these after pool must haves.  I got this after sun cool lime lotion at walmart it feels and smells amazing (keep it in fridge) and we always need some detangler and some organix coconut milk for our hair (my pump broke so its int he pink bottle. then brush it through with our tangle teazer ( a life saver in my house)  

Well I am off to down some cool drinks and veg on the couch..  (perfect time for some of my 0 cal  passion tea lemonaide in my new cute mason jar glass from shopko)

It is no secret that I am obsessed with youtube/watching makeup tutorials/get ready with me videos/ get unready with me videos/favorite ect.  I thought it would be fun to share with you guys some of my favorite gurus that I just can't get enough of.  This is in no certain order btw.

I totally love missglamorazzi/aka ingrid.  She is cute as a button.  I went through a whole funk when her and her boyfriend broke up recently (so sad) but she is and will always be a fav guru of mine.

How to be fancy.  She is very different but very cool and cute and soo much fun.

Leighannsays  I love Leigh ann.  She is crazy and lots of fun.  She is sarcastic and a bit crazy but not in a bad way.  Love her!

Itsjudytime.  Judy is my girl!  She is from the seattle area and she does some of the best first impressions and tutorials out there she is cute but to the point so her videos don't waste allot of time talking about nothing lol.

Littleladylohrey She is my new FAV.  I love her I don't know why she just rocks my world.  I find myself checking for her videos lol I was actually bummed she didn't do a Friday favorites this week but she is moving so I get that. ;)  She went to hair school like me, and she is my neighbor in WI.  So she also froze her butt off this winter lol. She inspired me to start shopping on shoplatley.com and also I couldn't not buy the wet and wild limited edition palette off ebay once I watched this. She is great check her out 

makeupbytiffanyd.  Probably the first makeup guru I started following but still a fav. she is awesome.

Glamlifeguru Aka tati.  She is a goodie

Melmphs aka melissa.  She is very southern very crazy but I love her to peices.Me and my girls look forward to her friday favorites and a possible poo every week. When they hear her cheer and goofy singing they come running lol

and last but not least beautybroadcast with emily noele.  She is informative and funny and knows her stuff.  I always listen to her opinions.  She was a news broadcaster for years and it shows.  She is amazing.  Love her.  I rocked this look all the time this winter with my lorac pro palette.

Best hubby moments in the world.

Some of you might know this guy..he is the father of my children, the best man I know, love of my life Ben.  I have the privlage of sharing my life with this amazing guy every day and having him to help raise my children.  We laugh, we joke, we yell, we bicker but most of all I love him with all my heart.  For fathers day I thought I would share some of my favorite moments with this guy.

This is a picture my gf steph took.  She must have tried for 15 minutes straight to get me to jump on his back and I just couldn't.  I was laughing hysterically and was pretty sure it was going to look like he was attacked by a rogue hippo who jumped on his back but stephs vision was realized and it turned out great.

This poor guy rarely gets a moment of peace.

He is always up for a trip to the park, or even beauty shop.

He will always snuggle and read books.

Even though technically he is Monkey butts step dad he has never treated her that way.  He has been there for her since the day she was born and always will.  He has enough respect to take a back seat if there is something she wants her dad to do but is there for anything she needs. 

He is truly a great roll model for our daughters in what a man should be for a women.  Wither it is how a man should treat his daughter or his wife.  He is fun, loving, kind, selfless, and patient.

I was lucky enough to have my sister in law there to snap this picture of the moment he met his daughter.  He was so proud and soo in love I will never forget this moment.

I just wish she had been there to snap the joy on his face when I told him we were going to have another baby..or the day I broke the news to him it was a boy.  I couldn't be more thrilled to be having one more baby to raise with this amazing man.  This baby is in for quiet the adventure and is the luckiest guy in the world to have this guy to raise him.

15 fun summer nail ideas..

 I love doing my nails, and am always looking for new inspiration for fun ways to mix it up.  I thought it would be fun to compile a few fun summer nail looks.  The only tools these would require are maybe some nail art polishes, which can be purchased super cheap even at dollar tree, and maybe a dotting tool.  You can use other things (tooth picks, bobbi pins ect.) but I recently got dotting tools and they are soooo much easier.  A 5 pack with 10 tips sizes can be purchased for less then 2$ here on amazon WITH  shipping.  So really how can you go wrong. With out further adieu here are fun summer nails.

1.mint/ lavender with white polka-dots.

 2. robins egg blue with silver accent nail.

3. bright blue and silver with silver zebra accent nails (zebra is way easier then you would think here is a very basic video)

 4.Chevron and blush nails with silver glitter.  I haven't perfected the chevron nails but just last night I ordered something that I think is going to rock my world I can't wait for it to get here to share with you guys.!!! (since I posted this I have finally cracked the code and perfected the chevron nail!!!  Here is my tutorial on the fool proof super easy chevron nail!!)

5. bright oranges pinks and yellows with bling.

 9. black and blue with white polka-dots.  I was sporting this look a week or so ago.  It is easily achieved with some scotch tape and a white nail art polish and a dotting tool.

 10. white.  This looks soo crisp and amazing.

 12. turquoise nautical fun switch up from your average nautical.
