Drugstore clearance haul/ review

I have a huge haul to share with you guys.  Our kmart is closing and before everything went on clearance they had a huge table of make up on clearance.  I went in and dug through it a few times and here is the haul from the last time I went.  I used I think two coupons and it came to 19$ for all of this.  And a few things weren't in the clearance bin but just things I needed.
Okay lets start I swatched the polishes over my polish I had on.  I love the covergirl formula you can pretty much get away with one coat.  It is great stuff.  Here is the kicker though I sent my lovely daughter down to put this on our nail polish rack and they disappeared and I can't for the life of me remember their names.  I want to say the revlon was timeless, the cover girl ones aren't listed on their website so they must have been limited edition but I want to say always naked and crushed berries.  I hope I find them because I am dying to use them!

As for the rest of the makeup.  I swatched it out for you.  Bottom is the loreal infallible in eternal sky its not a everyday shadow but I do love it and have worn it already. next is the wet and wild single in kitten it is nice as wet and wild always is and not as metallic as the loreal. Next is the remmil wake me up looks like would work okay as a highlight, The covergirl lip crayon I thought was going to have to wait for fall but it is actually a bit sheer and I love it the color is berry twist.  The wet and wild gel liner in plum...super disappointment.  It doesn't go on smooth and it erases it self if you try to go back over it.  So boo for that.

I also grabbed a clear brow gel and a few mascaras (I originally went for the almay one coat waterproof because I love the forumula but it smudges on me and the water proof still does!) Anyway I am glad I got to grab the stuff to try.  Have a good day guys.

haute look nyx haul and review.

Nyx was on haute look last month and I had to place a order.  It was too good to pass up.  Haute look has some good sales but it does take literally like a month to get your stuff.  So keep that in mind.
I ordered the nyx butt naked eyes pallet and the wicked dreams pallet.

The butt naked eyes pallet comes with 15 eye shadows in both matte and shimmer. It also has a pull out underneath that has 4 blushes a bronzer, and two highlights.  The quality is good but you need a good primer and it cost me 15$
I swatched them for you by row.  This is the top row.
Middle row.
and bottom row.
blushes
bronzer and highlight.
incase you want to see more of this pallet in action here is a video review of it by bailey b.
I have worn that pallet almost every day since I got it and I am super excited that it will be perfect for travel.  I will just have to pack mascara, foundation, and concealer.
Here is the wicked dreams pallet.
These swatches are a bit more sloppy I apologize.  I did them in order from left to right this is the first 5 rows.
and these are the last 3 rows.  This pallet was 9$ and it is great quality.  I used it the other day and it was very nice.  I would say use a good primer underneath though
here is a quick video review of that one.
Worth the money esp. if you can use a ulta coupon or grab on haute look (even though they drive me crazy taking soo long to ship).

girls day haul..

I got the rare chance to get away for the day this weekend.  It was my first time away from Max for more then a few hours so I was on the fence but I decided last minute to go and I had such a blast.  It was me and two of my girl friends on a road trip to soiux falls s.d. for the whole day.   I thought I would share some of my goodies with you.
I got this great little throw pillow cover for my couch.  It matched the blue in my others perfect, it was inexpensive, and it is super cute.  I might need more when I go back next month!

I was on the search for something for this wall.  My hubby told me he wanted a big clock for there with roman numerals.  For him this is both unusual because he generally has no input to give and very specific. I had searched high and low went to no less then 7 stores and found this one right here in town at kmart for 10$.  I needed something to go on either side and after much deliberation at hobby lobby we chose the two things on either side.  I am pretty happy with them.
I grabbed the little mirror to add to my gallery.
Its cute, gives the wall a pop of color, and gives me some thing to throw on some lip gloss with out going to the restroom.
I needed some where for the girls to hang up their coats in the entry way. It had to be cute because it was right when you walked in.  I found this little thing with all the cute knobs. I had just picked out a bunch of knobs for my hubby to do this and put them back because this was less expensive and matched perfect.
These cute flip flops were calling my name at T.J. max. I just loved them too much to leave them behind.  Aren't they adorable.  They remind me of my knit guru Jean.
When I first walked in T.J. max I saw a purse I loved that would have enough room for my stuff plus a couple Max essentials, But it was 130$ and that wasn't in budget for the day.  I kept looking and found this guy that was super similar just different brand for 24$!  Yes please.
We also hit Teavana.  I had no intentions of buying anything except maybe a bit of tea.  Then I saw them demonstrate this guy..
It is the teavana perfect tea maker and here is a video on how it works.
It is too cool to pass up and was 30% off and brought it down to 14$.  I am drinking a cup of tea from it right now.
Last but not least are my cute pants from target.. I got some mossimo ankle pants (I am wearing them today  rolled to make more of a capri)

They are cute on bright color full and a different fit and color from anything I own.  Here is a pic of the way they fit (not me obviously)
There are a few more things but nothing worth mentioning right now.  I had soo much fun and I am so glad I went.  It really did me some good to get a break from the cutest little boy I know and spent some girl time. Well time to trade loads of laundry and get on with my day while the monkey naps.  Have a great day guys.

beaute basics 24 pc. professional brush set

I ordered a brush set off of groupon before christmas.  It was 30$ for a 150 $ brush set I couldn't pass it up.  I had to share the quality and review it for you guys.  This is the roll it came in.

This is how it came packaged.
There are three eyebrow tools a comb/brush a spoolie and a angled brush.
there is a eyeliner brush a smudger angled brush and a flat brush.
These are the eye brushes.a angled brush, a small fan brush ,a pencil brush, a few flat shader brushes (one is a lip brush but I wouldn't use it for that), a few fluffy angled brushes, some fluffy blending brushes, and fluffy shader brush.
These are the face brushes. a powder brush, a blush brush, a large fan brush, another blush brush, a paddle foundation brush, a concealer brush, and a medium fan brush.

The quality is good I did notice some shedding during the first washing but I think it is just for the first washing.  I could have gone with a few less fan brushes and angled brushes and add some blending brushes and some foundation blending brushes like a rounded kabuki or flat top kabuki.  Other then that a great buy for the money for sure.

sioux falls baby haul

Since I am just days away from being 37 weeks and won't be able to leave town I ran to Sioux falls with the hubby and Fire monster to get the last few things we can't get in town and a # 1 on our list was the travel system.  I did tons of research on ease of use weight size the whole thing and I chose the graco fast action fold click connect monroe .
It is light weight it has a nice dark grey  color (fire monsters was light grey cotton and stained with the slightest spill even water!!!)
We grabbed a 3 pack of avent bottles.

 Someone needed some socks.
Benji loved these little tennies .  They are soo cute they have mickey and the fabric is a blue plaid they came from joanns.
Even though I had a breast reduction 3 years ago I am might be able to and am going to try my best to breast feed so I grabbed a pack of nursing pads.

We needed a bit more newborn size clothes so we grabbed these cute white and grey onsies and the matching pants.
A bit more 3-6 m size too so another set of onsies and pants.
Some good old generic dreft to wash it all in.
Some pampers swaddlers for the little guy.
We grabbed this  cosco folding bouncer when we came back to town,  I loved the look and yes we had a bouncer but the big thing we needed was something that would be small enough to travel back to the cities!!  This folds up super small.

I had two prescriptions to fill and kmart is running a get 25$ per prescription you transfer.  So I traded two over and got a 50$ gift card can't beat that.  I also grabbed wipes and some receiving blankets and I think I wound up paying 5$ out of pocket!  Anyway we are now set for baby boy. (I take that back because I just had to place a order for a bottle holder, some burt bees baby wash, and wash cloths!) All I have to do is get a bag packed so it is ready to go to the hospital.  As much as I have cherished and enjoyed this pregnancy and tried to keep it special he is getting very big and very heavy and the more tiny laundry I fold the more I am ready to have him in my arms :)

make up haul walgreens kmart shopko

It had been quiet a while since I did a makeup haul but I was really waiting for some of the awesome new things I had been hearing about to make it to town.  One thing I had been waiting to get my hand on was these..
The remmil show off lip lacquers.  (or as they call them in the u.k. the appocalips way freaking cooler name)  I found them at a walgreens in Sioux falls sd.  I also grabbed one of my awesome soho makeup sponges, a jordana 12 hour liner in purple, and a jordana fabuliner
Here are some swatches for you from top to bottom: remmil show offs Luna, Nova,Celestial, and Big bang. (these are great I wish I would have got two pinks that were a bit less alike but I am loving them the are called a liquid lipstick.  They have the coverage of a lipstick but the feel of a lip gloss. They are comfortable on the lips and don't get sticky at all.  I wore big bang all day today)Jordana 12 hour to last purple fix liner(this was way prettier in person and when washing this swatch off this took some rubbing!), and jordana fabuliner a good easy to use felt tip liner that is cheap and cheerful at 2$ and they were buy one get one half off so was the remmil which ran 5$
At kmart I grabbed these.  I had been hearing great things about the jordana blushes I got sandy beaches, redwood these were 2.49 each  . I grabbed a fergie wet and wild lipstick in fergie daily 2.99 (love this) and remmil scandal eyes shadow stick in tempting turquoise 3.49  ( love the liners and wanted a bright blue I thought this would be great for when I want to line my lower lash line with a bright color.
I swatched those for you.  The right is fergie daily  It is a great pinky matte nude it is creamy and not drying, the the remmil shadow stick these are great creamy and waterproof, sandy beaches blush it is a great coral with a nice sheen to it, redwood is a more intense red and more matte.  The jordana blushes are quiet pigmented and have quiet the lasting power.  I think the have the best lasting power out of all the drug store blushes I have tried.
Another thing I grabbed from kmart was these two nail polishes.  They are both wet and wild one is limited edition one is fergie.  The limited edition one I can't remember the name for and It is all the way down stairs and that is allot to ask from this pregnant mama soo...but the fergie one is Miami spirit and it is the one I used for leopard nails this weekend and I LOVE it!

At shopko I grabbed a few wet and wild shadow pallets.
This is the wet and wild fergie desert festival palette I believe this was 5$.  I used this for the sunset tutorial.

Here are swatches from that one.
This is a limited edition pallet and it is called to muse and carouse. This ran 2.99
It is okay a bit powdery I don't know how much use I will get out of this one but It is fun none the less.
I grabbed a few art brushes from joanns for make up brushes.

One I think I will really love is the angled brush because look at the thickness of one of my other angled brushes on the left and the art brush on the right!!  It is way thinner and will there for be way better for gel liner.
I had to share with you what fire monster did to my brand new makeup sponge!!!  You will notice it isn't even used yet!!!  I was soo mad because there is no where around here that carries them and I won't be able to leave town to get one until after the baby when even I feel like I can travel the at least hour and half to get a new one!!!
So that is pretty much what I got.  I am pretty happy with most of the purchases.  I
