creamy sweet ice coffee

One of my favorite summer treats is a nice cool sweet ice coffee in the summer.  I have usually made my own I have shared how to make cold press coffee with you guys before.  It is basically like the coffee version of ice tea.  I have loved it for years and years and I make mine the way I did when I worked at a large coffee chain.  But I found my self lately grabbing these.  Well for one they are too thick for my taste so I add milk, for two they have allot of calories,  and for three they are caffeinated and I like to drink my ice coffee in the afternoon evening so I don't always want caffeine in it then.

I thought I would share with you how I am going to make my sweetened creamy ice coffee.  So these are all you need.  I have some decaf coffee a can of sweetened condensed milk and a can of evaporated milk.  (i used the fat free version of both)

First off open both cans of milks and dump them into a jar and shake the crap out of them.  This is what is going to make your coffee creamy and sweet.  Toss that in the fridge until later.

Take a jug I found this gallon jar one at walmart for 10$ and couldn't pass it up.  I filled it a bit over half the way with cold water.
Then take one cup of ground coffee and just dump it into the water.
Put the lid on or cover your jug with saran wrap and let it sit on your counter 24 hours or atleast over night.

Mine was about 18 hours and this is what I had.
Now what I do is dump the coffee into a different container and rinse my jug.  I then place my reusable coffee filter (you can find these at most stores for 5$ or so) and a regular one on the top.
I put this in the sink in case I over pour.  Then just start filling the filter.  I usually change it once as it gets gunked up.  I just kept filling it as it needed while I unloaded my dishwasher.  Before I was even done unloading my dishwasher it was done and I had..
This.. I threw out the filter .  And tossed the jar back on the counter for the next step.
Take your jar of sweet cream and pour it into your coffee.

Now if you like your coffee thicker and creamier you can stop at this point.  It will be perfect but if you want it a bit more milky you can add some milk..

Now next time I will do about half of the amount of milk I did.  Or maybe even add some almond milk instead..
But there you have it .  Keep it refrigerated and serve it over ice for a nice cup of creamy sweet perfection.  Way cheaper, and better for you then the store and WAY cheaper then the coffee shop version.

I hope you guys give this a shot it is great and all my supplies cost less then 5$ and I can make at least 3 or  jugs out of the grounds I have left :)
Enjoy!!

vitagoods spin for the perfect skin review.

I have been meaning to get the spin for the perfect skin a review out for a while now.  I wanted to give this a good try and amount of time before putting out a review.  I got it april 16,2014 and I have been using it steadily for a few months now.  I had a spinning face brush but that brush only had one type of head and it also wasn't water proof.  So the reasons I wanted to try this one is it is water proof.  The other one I had would fall in the shower all the time and the batteries would fall out and it was always breaking apart..not good.  This one also has a deep cleaning/exfoliating head and a everyday/gentle head, as well as one for your body, and a pumice for your feet!!.  It retails for 99$ but you can always find a coupon for 60% off which bring it down to 40$ including shipping.  So I figured good deal.  Here is how it is packaged when It comes and each thing labeled.

I would say I have used the body attachment a few times not very often.  I did do it before some self tanning to exfoliate earlier this spring.  But I just don't think it is something I am going to use much.  That being said if you have a problem with breakouts on your back and chest I can see this being very useful.  I just don't happen to have that problem.  As for the pumice stone the second I took it out of the box it fell on the floor and broke!  So I used some e6000 and glued it back together.  I tried to use it a few times but I have some pretty extreme foot calluses on my heals and I don't think this cuts it.  I do use the face brushes almost every day.  I have even used the gentle one a few times since having my surgery and it was okay. I  have been touching my face allot and getting lots of little break outs so I am trying to make sure and wash my face well every night. The difference between this and say the clairsonic is basically the difference between a Colgate spin brush and a sonicare tooth brush.  One uses sonic technology (vibrations) and one spins.  That being said if you don't want to spend 200$ but you still want a way to get that extra cleaning and exfoliating I think the 40$ for this was reasonable and I have enjoyed it.  I would definitely recommend it :)  I hope this was helpful and I hope you have a good day. If you have any questions feel free to leave them down below.

septoplasty day 5 update

Well since my last update I have had a few pretty rough days.  It basically feels like I have a awful sinus infection/cold.  I have stuffiness, swelling, and headaches.  Every now and again a problem I don't expect pops up to surprise me.  (like the horrible stomach ache from drainage during surgery) one of those things happened the past two days.  I will be fine just sitting there and then things will shift in my sinuses and my body will react like I have a inner ear infection.  Boom nausea, I almost pass out, dizzy, and all around sick as a dog.  I have had a few bouts of that.  Not fun.  Now my surgery wasn't cosmetic surgery it wasn't a nose job (that is rhinoplasty) Mine was all internal structure to help with drainage and airflow.  But I took before pictures and after just out of curiosity.  The left if before the right if after.  Now in this picture you can't see the bump on my nose for some reason so I did another.
In this one the left is the after the right is before.  You can see the bump I am talking about.  I can feel it very well when I touch my nose.  You can see swelling in my eyes sinuses and nose although there is no bruising.  I don't have a stitch of make up on in any of these pictures.  I just wanted to show you guys the true look and process.  It looks like there is quiet a bit of swelling in my sinus areas you can see on my forehead by my eyebrows and the darkness and selling in and around my eyes.
I forgot to take my pain meds ( I have been weaning down the amount doing half a pill instead of a whole and filling in with advil ) but I forgot for too long now and and getting pretty uncomfortable.  So I am going to take my meds and go to bed.  I have post op tomorrow after noon we will see how I am healing :)

2014 4th of july manis/ nail ideas.

For those of you who don't know me or follow my blog I am 5 days out from my septoplasty surgery and not feeling super hot.  I had redone my gel nails last Thursday in a french mani because I couldn't do opaque polish during surgery.  Since I am still not feeling super hot but I wanted to do something fun for fourth of july.  I decided to do it up quick and dirty.. I didn't soak off my mani.  I literally took my regular art polish over my gel then put a coat of gel top coat and cured that. ;)  Worked like a charm.  My fire work-esk accent nails are inspired by missjennfabulous on youtube I have to tutorial posted on here for any of you who are interest for some cute quick 4th of july ideas.
As for fire monster you know she wasn't going to let me off that easy  she wanted a little bit of everything. (I know these are a bit messy but cut me some slack her 6 year old nails are really tiny for some of this nail art)  I did a gel base coat and top coat for her hoping they will last until 4th since she has such oily nail beds nothing last well on her!
Well here are some great fun and most of all easy nail art ideas have a great 4th guys.
