maternity pics sneak peek.

This weekend we were out of town because we went to the twin cities for a maternity photo shoot with my girl friend Stephanie.  Things even the night before morning of were still being decided because there was dicey weather.  This morning she put up a few shots as a sneak peek.  I had to share them and can't wait to see how some of the other fun shots turned out.  Here they are...

And this one is one of my favs.  Since the weather was going to be dicey me and my sister in law checked out some bright umbrellas at target the night before pics she scored this awesome rainbow one and loaned it to me. 

I know there will be a ton of other great ones.  My girl friend Steph is the one who did our family photos two years ago and I adore those.  I hope you guys are having a great Monday I need to get my self going on laundry from the trip and get myself ready for the drs today.  

nursery update.

I wanted to do a update on the nursery progress.  We got our crib and the hubby got it put together.  I love it soo much.  It makes my heart leap every time I walk by .  

We went for the 4-1 convertible crib.   It will become a toddler bed, a daybed, and a double bed after this. 

I got the cute mobile hooked up and the chevron crib sheets I wanted.  I also hooked up the breathable bumper pad (that was a chore and a half It did not want to fit our crib for some reason.  But I think we will be okay.)

 Super cute huh.  We still have one more thing we need to work out in this room.  We are kicking around a few different ideas for clothes storage but haven't settled on anything yet.

I know another thing I am loving... My diaper bag my sister made me. She has been adding custom bags to her website craftylikeamonkey.com (here is a link to her etsy she has two shops)  for a while now and I told her I wanted something not super baby-ish, and in colors that matched the other things.  I love this. 

 It has the blue and cream chevron on the bottom grey on top, a navy inside with some more chevron pockets inside.  It has 3 pockets across each side and one on each edge.  Besides the chevron pockets sewn to the inside it has a large zipper pocket the size of one whole side of the bag.  She also included a detachable cross body strap.  I already moved my stuff from my purse over ...its okay to use the diaper bag before the baby is here right lol.  I love this!!  It is just like a big purse which is what I wanted.  Me and my sister have very different taste and she kept it a surprise I was nervous so I was very excited over this.

Isn't it cute.  I also love this it is different then the other ones she has made me.  I love it because she uses all nickle free food safe aluminum or stainless steel because my skin is sensitive and I will break out if it isn't.  If you need one for you or someone you know they are 15$  and available on either of her sites.

We are finally home.  My allergies have been awful and I have been getting horrible sleep.  Being in your last trimester is exhausting on its own.  I have nothing left after this weekend.  It is early bedtime in our house then up to clean and organize the girls bedrooms tomorrow.  Let the down sizing begin.  Hope you guys have a great weekend.

baby shower.

Yesterday we had a baby shower/ BBQ for a few close friends and family.  We wanted to do fun to celebrate since this is our third child and only boy and our last.  So we planned a easy going barbeque with no games and no expectations.  We had boys and girls, as well as kids (but I guess for some reason I didn't feel the need to force the boys into the picture lol) It was a blast and I am glad we got to get everyone together.

 

Here is everyone from top left clock wise: my sister Angela, my niece Megan (aka mean taylor), me, my soon to be already adopted and loved sister in law amber, holding my gf Missy's baby chance, hope my gf Missy's daughter (aka according to fire monster her cousin), my gf who I miss having as a neighbor and love to pieces Missy, my sister in law/gf/the reason I have my amazing hubby and kids Bernie, and the best big sis a girl could ask for (who puts up with us in her home and had all of us over) Melissa.

Here is a closer pic of Melissa, Bernie, Missy, and Hope.  We grilled burgers and dogs, ate a ton of other food, laughed joked the kids played the men hung out by the grill had a couple beers and joked around.  What more could you ask for?  Missy hadn't thought she could make it but wound up coming and I am soo glad we all really enjoyed seeing her and her family and spending some time with this little guy..

 

Chance..isn't he just the cutest little thing.  He was hilarious. Not only is he cute but he just has the most fun little personality ever.  We all had to take turns with the little cutie.  Amber was loving on the little cutie pie here.  Well I am up early struggling with allergies AGAIN and couldn't help documenting this fun little day we had.  Soon my big sis will be up and we are going to cook pioneer woman's migas for the family.  You know there is just something about being in the kitchen with the girls in my family that makes my heart smile and fills me up.  I can't explain it but it just makes the world right.  I love my family very much and was so glad to get some time with them for what might be one of my last trips up until our baby boy arrives.  :) Well I am off to dig in the fridge and start gathering the ingredients.  Have a great day guys and hug your amazing families for me :)

family dinner gender reveal.

 Okay so this weekend we drove up to the cities (twin cities) to have a gender reveal for my side of the family.  After a long day calling all over the place I finally found someone who I could order cake pops from.  I didn't want to make them go through all the steps of making them myself here and try to get them 3 hours away to the cities in one piece.  I ordered from Kendras cakes and creations I wanted them to be very neutral on the outside and they were to be blue on the inside.  She did a great job and they weren't the kind that were just cake inside they had the frosting mixed in so they were not only adorable but delicious.  I loved it.  I had lunch with a few of the knit gurus and shared the news with them then headed back to the family.

 Before dinner everyone ate their pop and found out it was a BOY.

we ordered a big dinner from gesippes and chowed down and then sat around doing nothing at family dinner like always lol  Here is my sister melissa screwing around with her phone.  (I am not 100% sure she will ever know fully how to work it lol)

this one doesn't look like much but calvin is inside the box.   Him and Fire monster played in that box all day.  They had holes poked out for eyes and ran around all day playing in the box (under the watchful eye of zoey the mother hen Weimaraner of coarse)

So there we have it the family knows and I have started planing and purchasing and making things.  I will share as things go but I wanted to make sure and share the rest of this story.  I finally have a day with no kids Even though we had another day of this yesterday..

They did not cancel school for once which is fabulous because fire monster has her field trip today and it has already been canceled once! So she gets to have a fun day and  I can take some pics and throw up some posts as well as bake and try to work on my little boys room and get mine cleaned up a bit, finish my book, swing over to the library and pic up the book I have put on hold that finally came in and start a new knitting project for the baby..  :)  (I have big plans we will see how far they get me lol)  Have a good day guys.

Anniversary present

Hey guys I had to share what my sister made me for my anniversary when we were at the craft fair this weekend!  I love it.  She took the infinity sign and hung me and hung some hand stamped initials from it.

I have been wearing this bad boy nonstop since she gave it to me :)  Her shop is right here.  These are now on there as well as some of her other awesome things and remember it is all customized to what you want it to say :)  Also like her facebook page and check it out she has lots more designs up there. :)

fo rainbow bright socks

I still have calvin and eating is always a adventure with him but yesterday I made what I call pizza grill cheeses for lunch and he loved them :) It is a cream cheese grill cheese I slice some cream cheese with a cheese slicer and add some turkey peperoni's and butter the bread and grill it. Serve it with some marinara on the side for dipping yum. There was no fussing here..

I also finished my rainbow bright socks..

I love these socks they fit great and are so fun.

But this will be a short one because I have teachers conferences for monkey butt today and my sisters are coming one today one tomorrow.

and not only them but Mean Taylor will be coming.

and you never know what will happen with Mean around :) I better get my chores done so I can enjoy my sis's and Mean

birthday weekend day 2 girls night

So after we FINALLY found ice got some water went to sleep. We woke up paid for breakfast in the lobby hit the hot tub quick and went to lunch with the whole family to celebrate (it is my big bros bday in the 17th)

He wore his normal Fancy attire hat and all lol..

then us ladies separated from the herd and went to get manicures and pedicure at shiny nails burnsville which were phenomenal !!! And then went up to the hotel to get dressed up and have a glass of wine before dinner.

We all went over to old spaghetti factory for dinner which is a sentimental thing for me my grandma used to take us as kids and I also had my first official date with my hubby here. but this time I had the honor of being joined by a few of the knit gurus!!!

this is the lovely Jean Lynn and val. They are the amazing ladies who taught me everything I know and have seen me through trials and tribulations. :)

we are and talked and share and mingled it was great.

I changed just before we left to my citron and strapless dress. We stayed for hours then went back to the hotel at which time there was a incident in which a elderly woman's adult movie was ordered and imidiatly the brave Miss called down to fix it but I still had to make them take it off my bill in the morning (I swear I meant to hit menu YIKES) and although I said no gifts I was given a few I had to share

my sis made me this great hand stamped bracelet and viking weaved it her self. (she is amazing people here's her etsy if you want your own I LOVE mine )

Mrs Val gave me a sock book that I will make good use of and Mrs Lynn gave me sock yarn I can't wait to try

Miss gave me a wine glass I have put to use soo much already lol

Mrs jean gave me stunning cute and class gold earrings I am in love with

and Mrs Lynn also added to my milk glass collection and some great vintage needles. Then my hubby went to get some meds and brought me home tulips! My heart and life are soo full right now I can't imagine it being better. I am amazed at how lucky I am to have such great people in my life!! My cup over flowith (and not just my wine glass)

my busy week

So people it is moving week..so in short it is on. This has been crazy and in between the boring moving stuff here is what has been going on...

Picked out a cute outfit for Superbowl party with the fam. (yes it has been over 6 months since the breast reduction and I am still obsessed with strapless )

decided to rock some super cute purple sparkly eye shadow.

Messed around with the effects on my cell phone some more. :)

found not one but two grey hairs on the way to the super bowl party (I blame this all on my hubby I think grey hair must be contagious)

Got to my sisters to find this.. my sisters wearing safety goggles and gloves to make jalapeno poppers.

ate soo much junk at the super bowl party lol. I ate jalapeno poppers, deviled egg, queso , salsa

adamomas, Buffalo chicken dip, black bean brownies, ice cream, a few Smirnoff ices and ...

went home sick as a dog with a god awful belly ache and a food hangover

after that my lovely knit gurus showed up helped me pack 75% of my house in two hours

every day I have been napping (at least two hours lol) and since it is like -a billion degrees here in Minnesota and all my kids toys are packed we had to take her out for a bit of a energy burn off.

so off to pump it up it is..

then since her and my big girl have been such great sports about this we have movies and nails night.

I painted some super cute nails on them for valentines day

and we watched Beezus and Ramona which was soo cute and I loved it and loved snuggling two good girls while watching it.

and I am super loving the new rings I bought my self for my anniversary a few weeks ago and yes I did give my self a bit of a valentines day cutsieness too. but now I am off to watch social network with my hubby and have a glass of wine. My sis and gf Marnie are coming to help out tomorrow :) We are at t-3 days and counting people!!!
