Chocolate and chipolte day

So first thing I am going to show you guys today is a picture of my zick zack tunic that got felted this is what it looks like post my laundry miss hap. It is still wearable but not nearly as glorious as before. I put my poor hubby through the torture of trying to get a good knitting picture I don't know about you guys but my husband hates this sooooo much. I make him take it over and over lol poor guy. If you look on the ravelry pictures of it you can tell how much weight I have lost since last year (three more pounds this week btw) Here is the front and back view. and one I attempted to take after he quit to show the entire thing.

This is the little progress I got done today on my knit olympics project. I did finish undead and unappriciate though. It was great. I also got my feast cooked

Here is the feast in its glory. The chocolate and chipotle feast with all the fixings 3 dozen muffins rice reduced fat cheese, shredded chicken, corn south west salsa, brownies, sour cream, dove chocolates and my beer.:)

Here is the best part of chipolte the cilantro lime rice. Yum Well I am off to catch up on my knitting for the day I just thought I would blog quick since the movie my hubby picked is not my style. (by this I mean there is no one who is undead, no one who can morph into any other form, no zombies or vampires of any sort I mean come on lol) So I am going to down load the next book in my series and get some knitting done. opening cerimony..

The big day is here let the knit Olympics begin..

So the first day of the Olympics is off to a swimming start. Got my chores all done got some other things done around the house too. I even found time to run to the grocery store with my sis. I came home made a lower fat version of cheesy tomato bake which is still ten points per portion but is sooo good it was worth it I will work on making a less fatty version. I can do better for you crust and fat free instead of low fat on sour cream and mayo and stuff. Was oh soo good full of broccoli olives tomato's cheese and turkey peperoni. That was what I was doing during the first part of the opening ceremony.

Then after dinner was ate and some what cleaned up I got to sit down and get started. I watched the crazy cool opening ceremony which left me and Ben in aww. The things they did with the light was amazing. I loved watching the glacier party where it broke up and then there were whales swimming through the "water". Another part that I just loved was when the kid was running through the field. Soooo cool.

Trust me it was very hard to watch intently while I was trying to do my beaded cast on. But it is going great I got my beaded cast on done and my 6 rows of garter and was like 5 rows into the lace portion.

Well guys I am still under my points for the day and I did get my work out in too. The last one for the week thank god. I am glad this is paying off. I also started the my zombie valentine book. I am not sure how I like it so far. I will keep you posted. I have only two hours left on the audio book of undead and unappreciated. :) Loving that. I am pooped out and going to knit a few rounds before falling asleep. :) I hope you guys enjoyed the opening ceremony as much as I did. Have a great night guys

The big valentines day date...

So here is the long story...



Seven years ago on Valentines Day way too early in the morning I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to find a store that sold pregnancy tests because I was late. I was on birth control so I kept telling my self it was fine. I always went three months at a time and then took a week off to have a period but this time..it just never came. So here I was going nuts I had to drive a town over to find one (15 minutes each way). Then I went home ( I was living at my friends moms house it was very close quarters. I decided to bite the bullet and take the test...I was pregnant I was 21 and sleeping my a air mattress on my friends floor for god sake.. and the father ..well not the kind of father you want for your child. How was I going to handle this and on top of it all I was supposed to be meeting my sister for breakfast and she was going to be able to see right through me and then she would kill me, I knew it.



So needless to say it was a rough rough day one of the hardest days of my life. But I vowed that every year since then me and shelby have a very special date because even though that was one of the hardest days of my life she made every day since then one of the happiest of mine and I can't imagine life with out her. So there you have it the story behind our valentines day and Ben loves her so much he feels the same way (esp since it was his house I was living in and his sister in the shower when I took the test and he was there for it all) :)


So here is the view outside of the window on the fourth floor of the children's museum. This is from habitot where there is tiny kid friendly area and couch's and books. This was later in the day so it was very nice to sit.


Here is one of monkey butt working hard they designed this area specifically to make kids work together and play with out them even knowing it they grow these great skills it is one of her favorites and she could just sit there all day and send foam bricks up to the top floor or tossing them down to the bottom.

Here is the new dinosaur exhibit. Fire monster loved this one. She kept saying "he's scaring at me. Hes a bad boy" They freaked her out a little bit.

Well here was the end of the day warm chocolate cakes and ice cream (well lets be really it is fat free frozen yogurt) well it was a great day. I had a ton of fun with the sweet girls.and loved every minute of it. I even stayed with in my weight watchers points and fit in my work out. Now I am curled up in my bed with the lap top blogging and listening to undead and unappreciated on my ipod (the library download system is awesome). Tomorrow is the big day people knitting Olympics woohoo. see ya then.

Happy vday big sis

Well here it is I have finished the Infinity cowl for my sister. I love it and I know she will too. I just thought it was time to let her know she is a awesome sister and I am lucky to have such a great one. I don't get to tell her near enough because lets face it she would probably punch me or something but every now and again it is good to hear right lol.

speaking of which.. here is my house and to try to put this into perspective that mailbox is about as tall at me so i would say a tad over 5 foot notice the towering pile of snow behind it lol..

here is my big girl working very hard on her valentines for school so they will be ready for the party on Friday since we are letting her have her first ever skip day to go to childrens museum tomorrow.

and this was just one of those moments when you look at your child and think good god where did my baby girl go and who is this adorable too big for her britches toothless freckle face in her place . We were out to lunch at subway since we had to run all morning.

Well people it is ugly betty and nail night for me and this toooo fancy girl have a good night see you tomorrow

tomorrow laundry olympics...friday knit olympics

So today I spent a good part of the afternoon tackling that mountain of laundry you saw yesterday and I am happy to day I took at least a silver there is one load from today in the drier but all the rest from yesterday is washed dried folder hung up and put away!!! I am done wooohoo.

My good pal Amy asked me yesterday what are you knitting for the Olympics??? Well Amy my friend Here it is I will be knitting another Hanami only this time it will have not only the beaded edge but I will do it the way my friend Angela does with beads by the part where there are all the yo's that represent cherry blossom petals on the wind.

Here is the yarn I will knit it with some lovely light blue alpaca..

Here are the beads I will use on it they are sorta a clearish silver and very very tiny and pretty..

And here is them together it is so hard to get a good pick of them the lighting just wouldn't cooperate. So there you have it I am going to attempt a fully beaded hanami I will start on the opening ceremony and will have to be done by end of closing ceremony. This will be a challenge for me seeing as I have been working off and on on a pair of socks for my nephew for over a month and they have gone no where lol.

The snow finally stopped by the way. But they did have two hour late start and no am kindergarten at monkey butts school (she is pm) and when we got to the library for story time it had been canceled so we just checked out books and left (not before fire monster through a huge fit over this stuffed squirrel she has taken a liking to there. every week it is a issue..lol). But on a plus side for tolerating that embarrassment the copy of the 4th harper connely book by charlaine harris came in wooohoo. So I am rich in books which in this weather is a great thing to be.

Here is a pic of my dinner it was very very good. I have decided I love turkey peperoni. It is two weight watchers points for 17 pieces. This is a baked potato with turkey peperoni some spaghetti sauce and mozzarella cheese, a Arnold's bun with same and a couple slices of pear. It was great really filled the pizza craving and was way way way bigger then it looked by the way. Me and monkeybutt fit in a quick little mini work out during biggest loser.

Monkey butt has a read-a-thon at school tomorrow and wifi will be getting set up in the house two different sets of paper work are due that need to be arranged and sent out one for medical insurance and one for student loans. A busy day tomorrow. and then and Thursday relax and have fun day. We will be taking the day off (letting monkey butt stay home ) and we will be taking out annual valentines day date up to the children's museum. We always do some thing special with monkey butt for a valentines day date. I will give the back story on that day but there will defanitly some pics to enjoy too and two exhausted babies at the end of the day. :) Have a good night guys.

snowed in

here is what today brought in our house...

It brought tons of snow it is almost higher then out air conditioner out back and is higher then the girls picnic table!! It has been snowing since yesterday and when last checked is still snowing!!

Here is another thing today brought...tons of laundry you don't do it over the weekend and this is what I get and that doesn't include the handknit/dedicates or the load of towels in the drier this is just way too much for me lol.

And here is our big purchase this tax season. A lap top we sorta had to have something reliable for my work and not to mention you cant do anything even apply for jobs any more with out one. so there you have it my new baby. I haven't names her yet but it will have to be something good.

here is what she looks like closed she has a really cute design on the outside. I love it white was not my first choice but i really do love her.

Here are some neat things I picked up at a family favorite (half price books) with the sis's yesterday. I got my zombie valentine the back just sounded too fun to pass up, naughty needles which i have wanted to two years and a old fav from the clearance I am a big fan of Lorna Landvic and i love angry housewives eating bon bons. My number one fav though is patti janes house of curl but i do love into the great mysterious. She is great.

This is my sisters cowl I am working for her it is going to be just lovely. I am trying to stretch it out so my next project will be the knit Olympics project not to mention I would like to spend as much time with this squooshy thing i can before i have to hand it off it is just sooo... yummy.

I had the niece over the weekend and got the call this afternoon that she has the stomach flu and since she stayed sat. night and since she thinks it is hilarious to lick me to make me mad I am unsurprised that I am not feeling so hot I am going to lay back for now and hope that it is just my work out after dinner settling and watch one of my new favorite shows life unexpected and enjoys some yummy alpaca. Good night people.

so far this weekend

Okay here is the practice round of hinami it is okay there are a few things that I would do different next time but it looks much better in person. It is alpaca feather light and lovely. I got blocking wires yesterday so I finally got it blocked.

This right here would be the reason I don't sleep well at night she has the stealth of a ninja I don't know how she always makes it back in our bed but she is very good at fighting our defenses and there you have it a bad baby pie sleeping side ways in out bed.

These would be some fancy new colors of nail polish I picked out for me and my sisters pre superbowl marykay party. I am going to do nails via satin hands and marnie is going to do the make overs.

and this right here the saddest pic of them all I found this while waiting for monkey butt at the bus stop the other day. A WHITE HAIR. OH MY GOD. so needless to say I made ben help me recolor my hair. I am a dark red head now:D Well I am off to get my business done before heading over to my sisters house for the partys (marykay for us superbowl for the boys). Tomorrow I will show a pic of the big purchase with taxes this year.
