It has been a exsplosive day...to say the least
It has been a very very very long day. I spend most of the night listening to my husbands phone go off with text message after text and feeling like each one was bomb just waiting to go off (my sister in law on a tyraid) then we got a call last night from the dad in law (who is notorious for calling and giving max 3 days notice that he is driving down for a visit) and he is coming down early Sunday which was fuel on the fire with the sister in law issue. I was trying to get my mind off of stuff and it was already late so I sat up and watched pride and prejudice (the one with kiera knightly) and was thinking that It would be better if they did the pride a prejudice and zombies version I read this summer because the old version to me is just lacking now some how.
But I Finally crashed only to be woke up at 6:30 (keep in mind that our house is a at least 8:30 9:00 house) by the cat. My hubby had shut the door when he got up he shut the cat out. I tried yelling for him to shut up..didn't work. So finally I went and opened the door for him and climbed back into bed, only to be met there by naughty(the cat and that is a real name) who made him self at home right between me and fire monster (who had also made her way into my bed at some point last night) and she was very excited to see that he was there and it was all over. She was up and ready for the day even though I soooo was not.
So then our day went on and on many fights between the girls who are not morning people. I noticed the in law ever the mature one had deleted me and my entire family from her fb account!! I was running around cleaning getting things done for company, cooking, talking to my sis helping her figure out if she wanted one of those book reader dealies they have now and what color if so, and then...

and for good measure we threw in a few of these lol.

Fire monster had a metal bracelet monkey butts and dropped it on a night light in the hall (the one she always pulls the cover off) and the prongs must have been the slightest bit exposed because metal hit metal and bang pop sparks. I knocked the light out of the socket and got her out of the way. She hid in the laundry room for a long time. I attempted to explain this to her that she could be hurt very bad and she could make a fire. Now she is scared of sockets and says fire scares her. (which is almost a good thing something has got to..right?) So I wondered out to the garage and flipped the breaker and got on with the day but I did take a trip to target to get some covers.
I also was required to have a lengthy conversation with my hubby about the in law thing. I refuse to fight anymore. But I love him sooo much that I hate HATE seeing him so worked up and stressed so I sent a text saying simply this :I want this to stop we need to call it a wash and just end it all in all. It is too much stress on Ben. I don't want to talk about it at all. I just want this to end.
So there we have it. I am not over stuff I just want the nastiness and calls and texts and emails to stop I want peace in my life. So here is the peace I have been working on when I get a bit of time. I have a bit of knitting done but I am not caught up. I have been very busy cleaning polishing and doing stuff around here to burn off frustration. But here is my progress...
Here is the other peace I intend to enjoy around here tomorrow. I have read in quiet a few books (a few lorna landvick ones and a the most recent one is the chocolate chip cookie murders) where they make coffee but they put a egg and egg shell in with the grounds. So I looked it up on line and tried it yesterday but it was sorta a mess and hard to do but the coffee was delish so today. thing. I am going to make Norwegian coffee. I grabbed this beautiful shiny percolator today. I am going to get up and make my self a nice big pot of Norwegian coffee. :) I will take pictures and let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Well I am very tired and I am watching a disc of fear its self from netflix with the hubby (who seems to have a big weight off his shoulders after over a week of migraines and sick to his stomach) and he keeps falling asleep on the couch and I need to snuggle him and do some knitting. :) Happy knitting people. and does anyone want a early rising cat???

So...I did get some knitting done yesterday. I am still not totally caught up. I have been working on it off and on though. My hubby was home sick yesterday. He has been getting very bad migraines. He was out most of the morning today too. After he did feel better he took me out and taught me to drive stick in the red dragon. It was actually very fun. I had a great time semi embarrassing the few times I killed it though. But it is really a fun geeky little car to drive and like I said it warms my cold heart to know that it probably makes my neighbor cringe every time she looks out her window.

No progress on the evil sister in law front but me and my hubby had a great talk about it yesterday and came to a agreement that works to keep us happy. But to get the rest of the family to stay out of that is another thing lol. But on the plus side I did get my furniture and cabinets and all the wood in the house polished today (out of anxiety and frustration)

I took these great photos I thought I would share with you...
This one is ben and the fire monster out on the glacier that is the front yard right now. (try to ignore the fact that everything in our neighborhood looks creepily the same lol)

Like I said glacier...

Any time the hubby brings fire monster out to play in the snow she just treats it as her own original flavored snow cone.

Yup glacier...

She had a ton of fun for the little bit of time. and loved cruising around in the red dragon. We made fajitas (the healthy way) as a family for dinner. and then took the girls to the library for story time only to find it was movie night and they were showing lion king so that was a great surprise for the girls. :) Well ladies I need to get to bed or knit or do something. I will talk to you later.

oh grudge..what is that you are staying a while ..

Ah today was semi stress full. To give the back story me and a certain in law have been fighting for a few months now and today I almost gave it up and just said let selfish people be selfish people who use people and moved on but then she said something and I thought.....nope still mad. So I am not over anything the grudge is still there and if you know me in person you know I might just have to build a extra room onto the house it could be here so long.

I am one of those people who can hold a grudge for sure. I will let things go I will give you warning after warning but if you don't change your ways and continue to push me I blow up like the coyote chasing the road runner strapped to a rocket. And let me tell you over a month ago I got a big order from a.c.m.e. I blew up so bad I am still floating some where in the atmosphere.

Sometimes there are just tooo many things said and too many things you let go and let slide for soo long and then it is just ...well I don't know where to go from here. If it was just a friend I could just not be Friends with her anymore or not talk to her for like 10 years until I am not mad anymore but she is my husbands family. This has caused lots of turmoil for him and we all know how I feel about him and how much I love him but where do you draw the line.

So I am hoping to get over this but I am not sure how....man I wish someone actually read this thing and could give me advice lol.

Anyway I did brave the Arctic tundra outside to get a picture of the car formerly known as the beast for all you people who I pretend read this. This picture here is "The Red Dragon" my very clever husband came up with her name. He stole it from a fav movie Old School. Will Farrel has his car the red dragon and he says "she isn't exactly street legal" which defanity describes this little dude seeing as it has a exhaust fixed with a peach can,no power steering,or rear view mirror. I haven't rode in her yet but I am still sorta endeared to her . :)

So there you have her people in all her glory The Red Dragon.

This picture is of my dinner tonight lol It is one of my new favorites the pizzas made with the arnolds buns and turkey peperoni and I had fresh green beans with some butter powder stuff my gma used to use I can't recall the name right now lol. but It was cute and yummy and made me happy. I did work out today and am with in my points although I may use a few bonus points today to have a chocolate pudding (don't look at me like that this is serious people a bit of chocolate saves lives people)

So yeah I am hoping to take a bath and mull over things in my head. Please if anyone should happen upon this and knows how to get over hating someone who you have to see and deal with and have them around but not put up with their crap please fill me in because I have no clue it is not my forte. I am just at a loss. I keep sitting here pausing and thinking and I just don't know. I think it is pretty needless to say that I didn't get much lace knit today. I was too angry and if I messed it up I would really be mad. But my kitchen is spotless and sparkle since it was cleaned top to bottom out of anger lol.

Well people off to try for that bath and some chocolate....

It has been a strange day. We had to get up and run arends right away. My hubby had to go get the junker car that he bought for a "work vehicle". We have been down to one vehicle since late spring and it has been rough. I will place pictures of the beast tomorrow. We didn't have enough time for me to take any before ben had to rush off to work. It is a 89 horizon it looks like a cross between a escort and a grimlin. It is red had no power stearing, has a exhaust that was fixed with a peach can (lol) and has a very hinky stick shift ( which I can't drive stick anyway) Shelby is totaly embarassed and has no intentions of riding in it. I on the other hand am sorta indeared to the little guy if for no other reason then the sheer joy it gives me to know that it is going to be a thorn in the side of the mean cranky condesending up tight old maid who has the town home up stairs from us. She will probably complain to her (fully dressed) dog (in baby talk) about how much she hates it and that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Sort of like this picture of my afternoon snack. It looks like dr. zoyberg from futurama. lol It is pizzas with turkey peperoni on arnolds buns. and part of a pear.

I spent the day tidying up the house after the weekend and folding and putting away all the laundry that I didn't do over the last 3 or 4 days because I was so sick of laundry after the last stent. I waited all day to watch figure skating with my girls. I remember loving it so much as a girl. They are soo graceful and beautiful. The costumes are sparkly and beautiful. I couldnt' wait I just knew that my girls were going to love it soo much. We were down to the wire. they made it probably two pairs in and then monkey butt was asleep on the couch Firemonster was up slamming doors and yelling at me for nothing in particular. I gave it put monkey butt to bed tried to get firemonster in bed but it ended like this...

that is our ottoman

I learned a lesson bed time is bed time and the Olympics can wait because apparently they aren't as empressed as I was. lol. I worked realy hard to catch up on my hanami today I am about 3 and half rounds into the first lace chart right now. I have 3 and a half repeats left on that chart. I should have 4 repeats finished so I may be caught up by the end of the night but I am not sure If I have much left in me.
It has just been a sorta weird day lol. I found my self crying twice today. Not because I was overwhelmingly sad but I guess it was just one of those days where some tears needed to be shed. The first time was reading the poineer womens blog today. It was about her grandmother and something about the pictures of her grandmas kitchen killed me the clean counters and the way you could see everything right where it should be reminded me so much of my grandma and brought on the ache of that loss and how I miss that comfort and love she always ment. Then the second tears were during the olympics when a skier alex bilodeau was being shown and he won for his brother who has cerebral palsy. It was very touching so yup in tears again. *sigh* I am hopeless.

Anyway here are the pics of Hanami this was just before I got the third round of the first lace chart done. :)
Well I need to grab a snack and get my booty ready for bed I am starving and exhausted from being chores and being a bawl baby lol. If by the off chance anyone is putting them selves through the torture of making them selfs suffer through reading this I am sorry and I hope you enjoyed the rest of your day lol.
ps maybe by tomorrow we will have named the beast.

Happy Valentines Day

It was a uneventful day in our house so far. I am blogging after dinner because we are going to put the girls in bed with a movie early so that we can relax and enjoy some us time. I worked for a while this afternoon to get caught up on my hanami but I figure that I have got to do at least a chart a day which I am a chart and a half in and it is day 3 so I need to make up one and a half charts!!

Here is two pictures of it at one chart repeat done. It is going to be soo beautiful. :)

I didn't do much at all today I am right on track with my ww points and I worked out today even though I didn't need to. I didn't use any of the points I accrued for working out this week and I still have plenty of bonus points left. I figured out I have lost about 25 pounds since this times last year !!! It sorta snuck up on me and I didn't even realize it since I took such a big break from working out when I quit working to stay home.

I down loaded undead and unreturnable last night since I finished undead and unappreciated yesterday and I also happened upon another Minnesota based mystery called chocolate chip cookie murders. It sounds like a fun and promising series I just hope it doesn't make me want bake goods too much lol. Well the monsters need wrangled forced to get ready for bed so that I can enjoy that sexy sweet man I married a bit over three years ago. If anyone is out there bothering to read through my babbling let me know what you did for your Valentines Day. I look forward to hearing some peoples Valentines Day tales. I hope they are great. :) Let me know what you did.
Have fun .

Chocolate and chipolte day

So first thing I am going to show you guys today is a picture of my zick zack tunic that got felted this is what it looks like post my laundry miss hap. It is still wearable but not nearly as glorious as before. I put my poor hubby through the torture of trying to get a good knitting picture I don't know about you guys but my husband hates this sooooo much. I make him take it over and over lol poor guy. If you look on the ravelry pictures of it you can tell how much weight I have lost since last year (three more pounds this week btw) Here is the front and back view. and one I attempted to take after he quit to show the entire thing.

 \

This is the little progress I got done today on my knit olympics project. I did finish undead and unappriciate though. It was great. I also got my feast cooked

Hre is my ww style chipotle burrito bowl

Here is the feast in its glory. The chocolate and chipotle feast with all the fixings 3 dozen muffins rice reduced fat cheese, shredded chicken, corn south west salsa, brownies, sour cream, dove chocolates and my beer.:)

Here is the best part of chipolte the cilantro lime rice. Yum Well I am off to catch up on my knitting for the day I just thought I would blog quick since the movie my hubby picked is not my style. (by this I mean there is no one who is undead, no one who can morph into any other form, no zombies or vampires of any sort I mean come on lol) So I am going to down load the next book in my series and get some knitting done. I hope you guys are having a sweet valentines day. If anyone is reading this comment and let me know how your vday was.

opening cerimony..

The big day is here let the knit Olympics begin..
So the first day of the Olympics is off to a swimming start. Got my chores all done got some other things done around the house too. I even found time to run to the grocery store with my sis. I came home made a lower fat version of cheesy tomato bake which is still ten points per portion but is sooo good it was worth it I will work on making a less fatty version. I can do better for you crust and fat free instead of low fat on sour cream and mayo and stuff. Was oh soo good full of broccoli olives tomato's cheese and turkey peperoni. That was what I was doing during the first part of the opening ceremony.

Then after dinner was ate and some what cleaned up I got to sit down and get started. I watched the crazy cool opening ceremony which left me and Ben in aww. The things they did with the light was amazing. I loved watching the glacier party where it broke up and then there were whales swimming through the "water". Another part that I just loved was when the kid was running through the field. Soooo cool.
Trust me it was very hard to watch intently while I was trying to do my beaded cast on. But it is going great I got my beaded cast on done and my 6 rows of garter and was like 5 rows into the lace portion.

Here is a close up to show how great the color and the beaded cast on are looking..

and another not sooo great close up to show it.

Well guys I am still under my points for the day and I did get my work out in too. The last one for the week thank god. I am glad this is paying off. I also started the my zombie valentine book. I am not sure how I like it so far. I will keep you posted. I have only two hours left on the audio book of undead and unappreciated. :) Loving that. I am pooped out and going to knit a few rounds before falling asleep. :) I hope you guys enjoyed the opening ceremony as much as I did. Have a great night guys
